WINDSOR, ON, Sept. 1 /CNW/ - Electronic bingo fans have another location in Windsor to play their favourite game. Paradise Gaming Centre on Dougall Avenue is re-opening its doors today and alongside traditional bingo offerings, it's revealing the new high-tech additions of eBingo and POD (Play-On-Demand) games.
Paradise Gaming Centre is part of Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation's (OLG) Bingo Revitalization Program, which is aimed at supporting the charity bingo industry across Ontario.
Paradise Gaming Centre is Ontario's sixth eBingo site with other locations opened previously in Sudbury, Barrie, Kingston, Peterborough and Windsor.
"I am pleased that Paradise Gaming Centre is re-opening," said Sandra Pupatello, Member of Provincial Parliament for Windsor West. "This centre will serve as a vehicle for the hundreds of charities in the Windsor community, generating much needed support for their important charitable contributions to our community. This re-opening also means retained jobs for Windsor."
"We are thrilled to offer our loyal Bingo players in Windsor more options to play their favourite games," said Ron Ko, Director of Bingo Gaming for OLG. "Paradise Gaming Centre is a great addition to the eBingo family."
Paradise Gaming Centre is operated by the Community Gaming and Entertainment Group (CGEG).
"We're thrilled to be opening the second eBingo facility in Windsor with our partner, OLG," said Tony Rosa, President & CEO of CGEG. "Paradise Gaming Centre will offer another exciting entertainment option for the community."
Players now have a choice to play paper, eBingo or POD games at Paradise Gaming Centre. POD offers eBingo players the option to play individually from their eBingo stations in between regular bingo sessions, at intermission or even during live games. Complete lists of odds and prizes are available on-screen or from a customer service representative.
The Bingo Revitalization Program was announced in January 2005 as part of the provincial government's gaming strategy that focuses on the development of a sustainable and responsible gaming industry.
OLG is a provincial agency responsible for province-wide lottery games and gaming facilities. Since 1975, OLG lotteries, Casinos, Slots, and Resort Casinos have generated more than $32 billion for the benefit of the Province of Ontario. Gaming proceeds support Ontario's hospitals, amateur sport, recreational and cultural activities, communities, provincial priority programs such as health care and education, and local and provincial charities and non-profit organizations through the Ontario Trillium Foundation.
