CALGARY, June 22 /CNW/ - Ecosse Energy Corp. (CNSX: ECS), a company focused on oil and gas exploration and production in Indonesia, today announced that it has appointed Joseph Brian Henry to its board of directors.
"Brian brings to the company vast technical knowledge and experience in the oil and gas industry with his background as an exploration geophysicist. His experience, along with the existing knowledge base in the company, will assist us in further identifying suitable fields in Indonesia and the Asian region and in developing our Bengkulu PSC." said Alan Morrison, President and CEO of Ecosse Energy Corp.
Brian has 38 years experience in geophysics and seismic interpretation in the mining, oil and gas industries. He graduated with B.Sc. in Engineering Geology and Geophysics from Queen's University in 1969 and gained his M.Sc. in Geophysics in 1972. He has experience in Canada, USA, South America, Middle East, Africa, North Sea, and Asia including Indonesia. He has worked with Huntec, Dynamar, Gulf Canada Resources, Getty Oil, Petro-Canada, Torca Geophysics, ARAMC, Dana Petroleum and as an independent consultant prior to joining Ecosse. Brian is currently based in Calgary, Alberta but will also spend time in the company's Jakarta, Indonesia office.
Gerald Ruth, a director of the Company, has tendered his resignation as a director. The directors of the Company have accepted his resignation on June 21, 2010.
