Edmonton's Curtis Hargrove in the Running for $100,000 Charity Prize
Scotiabank National Game Changer to be announced at the 100th Grey Cup
EDMONTON, Nov. 7, 2012 /CNW/ - Edmonton's Curtis Hargrove has been named a Scotiabank National Game Changer Finalist for his passion and dedication fundraise for sick kids in Edmonton by running across Canada. Curtis will be recognized on-field at the 100th Grey Cup in Toronto where he could win $100,000 for the Stollery Children's Hospital in Edmonton.
"On this run I've seen my fair share of ups and downs -- I've been arrested and I've been in and out of the hospital --but it's nothing like what these kids go through," said Curtis Hargrove. "These kids are fighting every day for their life and I'm doing this because I want these kids to have the best care they can get. The $100,000 would benefit them, and the money would help fund new programs and help them get the best care possible."
