Edward Jones Ranks Among the Top 50 Best Employers in Canada

Financial services firm ranked as a best employer for the 9^th consecutive year

TORONTO, Oct. 28 /CNW/ - For the ninth consecutive year, financial services firm Edward Jones was named to the "50 Best Employers in Canada" list by Aon Hewitt and published in Maclean's magazine. The firm ranked in the No. 12 spot.

Two hundred and fifty-one Canadian employers took part in the 2011 Best Employers studies with more than 134,000 Canadians responding to questions that focused on employee engagement.

"Even though participation in the studies increased this year, a number of the organizations that appear on the 2011 Best Employers lists have achieved this status before," said Neil Crawford, Aon Hewitt's national Best Employers studies leader. "These employers didn't waiver in their commitment to sustaining and improving high employee engagement, even during tough economic times. They weathered the recession thanks in large part to a highly productive workforce focused on organizational success. The fact that these employers appear again on the 2011 lists indicates that their employees are still very committed to the organization, despite having more options available to them in a post-recession economy."

The list of the 50 Best Employers in Canada, along with editorial features in a package highlighting the research findings, will be published in the November 8, 2010 issue of Maclean's magazine, available on newsstands on October 28, 2010 and in La Presse November 4, 2010.
