EF Education First Announces Private Teacher Lessons for All EF Efekta Cloud-School Students
LONDON, Jan. 28, 2015 /CNW/ - EF Education First (http://www.ef.com/corporate) today announced the availability of the winter-2015 release of its cloud-based English language school, Efekta. The release includes, among many other new features, private-teacher classes for all standard corporate customers; an industry first.
"We're very excited about the latest release of our cloud-based English language school - EF Efekta", said Andy Bailey, CMO EF Corporate Solutions. "It's no exaggeration to say that it's one of the most significant releases for several years."
The Efekta '15 winter-release introduces new features that include:
- Greater access to EF teachers
- A new 'flipped' learning model
- Private-teacher 1:1 classes after every unit of study
- A new 'virtual campus'
- New and improved reporting center
New learning model and teacher access
Building on EF's belief that more teacher-time equates to faster progress, Efekta '15 introduces a new 'flipped learning' model based on the EF Method™. Using this model, students learn new concepts during their self-study time and then practice that new learning in class with a teacher on hand to help. This ensures a faster pace of progress. Efekta '15 makes teachers an integral part of each student's learning path, with clear sign-posting of when teacher-led classes would be most effective to take. Each student has unlimited access to teachers in small-group, virtual conversation classes, available on-demand at any time, without the need to book.
Unit-level Private Classes
In an industry first, EF has also introduced 'end of unit' private classes for every student, in the Efekta Premium course or higher. These classes take place with a dedicated EF teacher to ensure each study unit has been understood and embedded, improving the structure and momentum of each student's learning.
"For some time now we have been unique in the industry by offering unlimited, virtual, teacher-led conversation classes to our students", added Bailey. "Now, by adding private lessons for all of our standard students, we are now undeniably in a class of our own".
A new 'Virtual Campus'
Efekta '15 introduces a new student school experience with a completely re-designed campus. As a direct result of customer feedback, this new virtual campus focuses on even greater engagement and motivation by keeping the student informed and aware of their progress, signposting exactly what to do next and where they are in the overall learning path and goals.
Corporate Reporting Center and Student Management
The release also introduces an improved program management engine called the EF CRC (standing for Corporate Reporting Center). With an emphasis on ease-of-use, the new EF CRC simplifies the processes of student enrollment and course allocation as well as student and program progress reporting.
"We have been the largest and most trusted language training provider to international businesses for many years now. One of the reasons for this is that our language courses are second to none. I think that with Efekta '15, our latest cloud-school release, the best just got a whole lot better", concluded Bailey.
