Egg Farmers of Canada is the Official Nutrition Partner of the CIBC Run for the Cure
OTTAWA, Oct. 02, 2014 /CNW/ - For the fifth consecutive year, Egg Farmers of Canada is proud to be a national sponsor and the Official Nutrition Partner of the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation CIBC Run for the Cure.
On Sunday October 5th, egg farmers, staff, family and friends across the country will run in support of the Canadians who have overcome breast cancer, who are currently living with, and in memory of those who have left us. "From the beginning this cause has been close to our heart," admits Tim Lambert, Chief Executive Officer of Egg Farmers of Canada. "A lot of us have been supporting friends, family members or members of our communities who have been affected by breast cancer. We are so proud to be involved and helping the Foundation create a future without breast cancer."
As part of their partnership with the CIBC Run for the Cure, Egg Farmers of Canada will be presenting the Get Cracking® Run Day Warm-Up at all 65 locations. Local farmers and staff will be on hand at select locations across the country talking about fresh, local and high-quality eggs to some of the expected 125,000 participants.
Over the 5 year partnership, Egg Farmers of Canada's teams have raised $100 000 for Canada's largest single day, volunteer-led fundraising event in support of creating a future without breast cancer and is hoping to add more to the tally this year.
