EHT Builds A Custom Permafrost Home At the Non-Conventional Materials and Technologies (NOCMAT) Show in Manitoba
TORONTO, Aug. 12, 2015 /CNW/ - Enerdynamic Hybrid Technologies Corp. (TSX-V: EHT) ("EHT" or the "Company"), has constructed a custom engineered "Permafrost Home" at the NOCMAT conference in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Displaying its composite panel technology based rapid-construction houses, the EHT team erected this custom design on the lawn at the University of Manitoba to allow engineers from around the world to walk through, touch, measure and photograph this technology.
Designed to demonstrate the recently acquired technology and products of EVIA, a global manufacturer and installer of proprietary modular housing units, container units and truck/trailer units, this unit is ideal to house workers across the global arctic and sub-arctic regions. Rapid construction is just one of the hallmarks of these units which specifically prevent permafrost thaw, a significant environmental guideline for industries working across Canada's north. No footprint departure is a foundational principle for most northern-based industries.
EHT is becoming a leading supplier of energy self-sufficient modular structures that can be used for housing, medical facilities, disaster recovery units, schools or offices anywhere in the world and which offer simple, rapid site installation. The needs within Canada and the U.S. of agencies including northern or native affairs, military, search and rescue, governmental and NGO research, habitat monitoring, wildlife/marine study and education are all similar: Good quality, low impact, long-term housing or shelter for people that live, work and travel across the vast northern parts of the globe. The resource sectors in the northern reaches of North America represent a target segment in that large workforces need to be housed in hostile environments while preventing permafrost melt and within limited access sites.
Bruce Bent, Chair of EHT's Board of Directors said "This is a great opportunity to push into the cold climate, regulatory heavy sectors of northern Canada/U.S. business and government operations. Throughout my career I have been involved in the construction of commercial buildings so there is a comfort and familiarity to this market and yet the nature and opportunity it represents is exciting."
John Gamble, CEO of EHT commented "The recent acquisition positions the Company as one of the most advanced providers of modular, self-powered building systems in the world. We have built modular systems in various locations worldwide to date and this industry trade show is an ideal way to show the market how EHT solutions can answer their large workforce needs. Since most modules encompass a fully self-contained alternative energy solution, the fit with EHT's solar panels, micro-windmills and battery storage systems is excellent."
The series of NOCMAT Conferences have proven to be a leading forum where scholars, governmental and non-governmental agencies, practitioners exchange innovations of low energy cement technologies, new materials and systems, and innovative material/structural technologies such as bamboo, natural fibers, etc. towards cost-effective, durable, environment-friendly, energy efficient and sustainable construction.

About EnerDynamic Hybrid Technologies
EHT delivers proprietary, turn-key energy solutions which are intelligent, bankable and sustainable. Most energy products and solutions can be implemented immediately wherever they are needed. EHT stands above its competitors by combining a full suite of solar PV, wind and battery storage solutions, which can deliver energy 24 hours per day in both small-scale and large-scale format. EHT excels where no electrical grid exists in addition to traditional support to established electrical networks. Through its acquisition of the EVIA Group, the organization now also develops and supplies reinforced plastics solutions. Evia's core expertise lies in the development of innovative composite material systems, which are processed through the use of its proprietary production technology into attractive applications, primarily modular homes, for customers in a wide range of industries and climates.
