Eight new public charging stations in six municipalities - Six municipalities of L'Érable RCM join the Electric Circuit to install public charging stations for plug-in electric vehicles Français
LYSTER, QC, Nov. 12, 2014 /CNW Telbec/ - Sylvain Labrecque, Prefect of L'Érable regional county municipality (MRC) and mayor of Lyster, and Pierre-Luc Desgagné, Vice President – Public and Government Affairs at Hydro-Québec, on behalf of the partners of the Electric Circuit, announced today that partnership agreements had been signed with six municipalities. These agreements, which are the result of an initiative spearheaded by L'Érable MRC, call for the installation of eight public charging stations on its territory. A first charging station is already in service in the Caisse Desjardins parking lot in Lyster. The other charging stations will gradually be commissioned until the end of 2014 and during 2015.
"L'Érable MRC is proud to be able to provide electric vehicle users with a significant number of public charging stations on its territory. This is a welcome boost for our region and municipalities, as they will benefit from increased recognition. Our region will now offer a significant concentration of public charging stations between the two major hubs of Montréal and Québec", said Sylvain Labrecque, Prefect of the MRC.
"We are very pleased to welcome L'Érable MRC and the six municipalities that have chosen to make public charging stations available to their citizens as well as to electric vehicle users passing through this magnificent region", noted Pierre-Luc Desgagné, Vice President – Public and Government Affairs at Hydro-Québec, on behalf of the partners of the Electric Circuit. "The Centre-du-Québec is a region that is important to the development of our network.
