Eighty jobs created to support major railroad and aerospace projects - Eurogiciel Group sets up in Greater Montréal with support from Montréal International Français
MONTREAL, Jan. 16, 2014 /CNW Telbec/ - Eurogiciel Group—a leading France-based project support service company—has announced it is opening a subsidiary in Greater Montréal. Having a presence in Québec will enable Eurogiciel to provide international project support services to Canadian and North American companies and their French clients. Eurogiciel will provide consulting services, equipment and testing methods to its new clients in partnership with Adetel Group.
"The decision to set up in Greater Montréal was a highly strategic move as it marks a new stage in our development process. After opening up several European locations and setting up bases of business in Morocco and India, we were ready to bring our expertise to North America," said Daniel Benchimol, President of Eurogiciel Group. "We chose Greater Montréal because we wanted to export our know-how to new aerospace and railroad markets. We have already had discussions about future joint projects with Bombardier, Aerolia, MDA, Safran and Thales," he added.
Working in conjunction with the Government of Québec, Montréal International has deployed every effort to attract this pioneering high added-value project support service company, which has long been a consulting and services leader on the European scene.
"We are very pleased that a world-class company has chosen to pursue its development in Greater Montréal and we are proud to have contributed to this success," said Dominique Anglade, President and CEO of Montréal International. "Eurogiciel Group is coming to a thriving and dynamic region featuring innovative industrial clusters which bring together all the players in a given sector so they can join forces to work together towards common goals," added Anglade. "Welcome to Montréal!"
Eurogiciel has operations in five countries: Germany, England, Canada, Spain and the United States.
