Election of the Executive Committee For the year 2010 - 2011

OTTAWA, Oct. 25 /CNW/ - At its twelfth Annual General Assembly held at the Embassy of Japan on Thursday October 7^th 2010, the Ottawa Diplomatic Association (ODA) membership elected the following individuals to positions on the association's executive for the coming year.

H.E. Amadou Tidiane Wone, Ambassador of Senegal

H.E. Florence Zano Chideya, Ambassador of Zimbabwe

Incoming President Nevers Mumba expressed '…thanks to the assembly for their vote of confidence.  The outgoing executive committee has raised the bar quite high, but your new committee will build on the solid foundations they have left and strive to extend services to members even further in the coming year.  In fact our goal is to raise the standard yet again and make ODA the all inclusive and premier organisation for diplomats in Ottawa.'

The ODA is a non-profit organization focussed on International Diplomatic agents and organizations with a view to promoting and developing strong social and networking opportunities. 

In launching the 2010 - 2011 season, President Nevers Mumba reminded the assembly that their organization '...strives to organize entertaining social and cultural events, excursions to fascinating locations, seminars and events with outstanding speakers plus enjoyable sporting and competitive events.  Membership provides a key to access the best that Diplomatic life has to offer; an entrée to the network that surrounds it; and the means by which to make your stay in Canada truly unforgettable.'
