Canada's largest innovation festival will take place in Toronto from September 24-27, 2018
TORONTO, April 17, 2018 /CNW/ - Leaders representing the tech and corporate innovation community gathered at Shopify's Toronto office to announce 2018 plans for Elevate, a week long technology and innovation festival. This year's keynote speakers include: Al Gore, former VP of the United States and Cofounder & Chairman of Generation Investment, Whitney Wolfe Herd, Founder & CEO, Bumble, Michelle Zatlyn, Cofounder & COO, Cloudflare, Yung Wu, CEO, MaRS Discovery District, and Karan Wadhera, Managing Partner, Casa Verde Capital.

Elevate anticipates 10,000 guests, 300 speakers, and 250 venues for this year's city-wide festival. Themes will include hard-hitting topics like data privacy and digital inclusiveness, as well as cutting edge technologies including blockchain, artificial intelligence and fintech.

In addition to its speaker lineup, Elevate announced the launch of Elevate-as-a-Platform to strengthen the ecosystem and encourage collaboration within the innovation sector. New this year, Elevate is partnering with the National Angel Capital Organization to bring the World Angel Investment Summit into the festival. Elevate also announced it is working with Startup Open House alongside the NewCo Festival, to connect over 4,000 students, job-seekers, and young professionals to hundreds of innovative companies and startups across Toronto.
