Ellen Roseman to teach an online investing course via U of T's school of continuing studies
TORONTO, Feb. 5, 2016 /CNW/ - Ellen Roseman, a journalist known for writing about personal finance and consumer issues, will be giving an online course in investing at the University of Toronto's school of continuing studies.
The course, which runs from March 1 to April 30, is called How To Value Companies and Pick the Right Stocks. The cost is $250.
The goal is to help you take more control over your investing, says Roseman, who has been teaching at the the University of Toronto since 2004.
"You will end up with a better understanding of what makes companies attractive to investors and which ones suit your own investment style and risk tolerance," she tells students.
Roseman has a popular nine-week course, called Investing for Beginners, which runs every fall at the downtown campus, starting in early September.
This is her first online course. It is designed to give more flexibility to those who can't attend a classroom lecture and want to learn at their own pace.
