Elliot Lake Hampton Inn Employees Join Steelworkers

ELLIOT LAKE, ON, Sept. 10, 2015 /CNW/ - Employees of the Hampton Inn in Elliot Lake have joined the United Steelworkers (USW).

The hotel's employees voted by an 86% majority to join the USW, in a vote supervised by the Ontario Labour Relations Board.

"We welcome these hard-working employees to the United Steelworkers," said USW Ontario Director Marty Warren.

"These new Steelworkers are looking forward to negotiating a first collective agreement that reflects their vital contribution to their employer's success," Warren said. "They will have the full support and resources of their union to ensure they obtain a fair contract with good working conditions, wages and benefits."
