EllisDon Named one of Canada's Top 100 Employers

This is the second time that EllisDon has been named, and its second time submitting an application. The competition, now in its 11th year, is an editorial project determined by Mediacorp Canada Inc., publisher of employment guides and periodicals.

In addition to being a Top 100 Employer, EllisDon has several other designations that attest to its being one of the nation's best places to work. The company is on the list of Canada's Top 50 Employers, from Hewitt's study for Report on Business Magazine, and garnered the number one spot for two consecutive years. EllisDon is also a Platinum member of Canada's 50 Best Managed companies; and, it has also been on the list of Canada's 30 Best Pension and Benefits Plans for three consecutive years.

According to the Top 100 Employers study, the recent economic troubles have presented an opportunity for transformation among Canada's leading employers. These companies are treating the current slowdown as a unique opportunity to strengthen their companies and "position themselves for the day when not all organizations will be able to attract the people they need".
