EllisDon's United Way Fall Fundraiser Experiences Banner Year

Company's flagship campaign raises funds for United Way

MISSISSAUGA, ON, Jan. 7, 2015 /CNW/ - EllisDon, in collaboration with United Way, has set a remarkable standard with their seventh annual United Way campaign. EllisDon's Fall Fundraiser, which stretched from October 31^st to November 14^th, raised just under $300,000 in what is now hailed as EllisDon's most successful United Way campaign to date.

This time around, the two-week event involved EllisDon's corporate headquarters, as well as EllisDon's London and Toronto offices. Employees from each area put their best effort forward to organize a series of fundraising events, including a joint Halloween party and campaign kick-off; a wear-your-jeans-to-work week; a spirited dodgeball tournament; an online auction with thousands of dollars in prizes; and a popular 50/50 draw.  

The final proceeds, which exceeded EllisDon's target of $250,000, will benefit several areas and communities supported by United Way. The campaign's success can be attributed to the goodwill and generosity of EllisDon's employees, and the Smith Family - as well as tremendous support from corporate matching, and the Don Smith Foundation.

As a builder of not only structures, but communities, EllisDon advocates for healthy, quality lifestyles for all. Since 2008, EllisDon has raised over a million dollars to improve the circumstances of impoverished individuals via United Way, a highly reputable organization.
