HALIFAX, le 1er mai 2012 /CNW/ - The Insurance Brokers Association of Nova Scotia (IBANS), a membership driven Association representing independent Property & Casualty Insurance Brokers across Nova Scotia, would like all Nova Scotians to take a moment during Emergency Preparedness week to review the three simple steps to prepare for an emergency.

Know the Risks: | |
Flood, hurricane, blizzard, storm surge, power outage are a few | ||

Have a Plan: | |
Emergency escape routes, designated meeting areas, risks in your area, location of fire extinguishers, water valves and electrical panel | ||

Get an Emergency Kit: | |
Include the basics such as water, non-perishable food, a can opener, flashlight and batteries, battery operated radio, first aid kit and cash |
