TORONTO, May 6, 2019 /CNW/ - CIBC Mellon today announced that Emily Portney, Global Head of Client Coverage and Head of Americas, Asset Servicing, BNY Mellon, has been named to the Boards of Directors for CIBC Mellon Global Securities Services Company and CIBC Mellon Trust Company; and that Robert Hutchison has been named to the Board of Directors for CIBC Mellon Trust Company. CIBC Mellon also announced the January appointment of Chint Kulkarni, Managing Director and Head, Loan Syndications, Corporate Banking, CIBC, to the Board of CIBC Mellon Trust Company.
As Global Head of Client Coverage and Head of Americas, Ms. Portney leads the client management, sales and service teams for BNY Mellon's Asset Servicing business globally. As Head of Americas, she manages the U.S. Asset Servicing and Latin America Asset Servicing businesses and oversees BNY Mellon's interest in the CIBC Mellon Asset Servicing joint venture in Canada. Ms. Portney holds a Master of Business Administration from Columbia Business School and a bachelor's degree from Duke University.

Robert ("Bob") Hutchison has more than 40 years of experience as a business lawyer with an emphasis on financial services in Canada and a focus on securities regulations and infrastructure. Mr. Hutchison recently retired as a partner of Borden Ladner Gervais LLP where he began his practice in 1977 and held various senior positions. He is a graduate of the Leadership in Law Firms Executive Program at Harvard Law School and holds a J.D. from University of Toronto.

Chint Kulkarni is Managing Director and Head of Loan Syndications within Corporate Banking at CIBC, where she runs a team that is responsible for origination, structuring and distribution of syndicated credit for CIBC's clients across Capital Markets and Commercial Banking. Ms. Kulkarni is a member of CIBC's Canadian Corporate Banking Operating Committee. She holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree in Art History from McGill University and a Master of Business Administration in Finance from DeGroote School of Business.

CIBC Mellon also announced that Thaddeaus Duchnowski and Jeffrey Graham stepped down as members of the Boards of Directors for both CIBC Mellon Global Securities Services Company and CIBC Mellon Trust Company in March 2019, and that Susan Rimmer stepped down in December 2018.
