Energizer Brings Innovation in Power & Lights To NHL® All-Star Weekend
Featuring New Global Brand Platform & Complete Technology Showcase
OTTAWA, Jan. 19, 2012 /CNW/ - To expand upon their new global brand platform 'now that's positivenergy!™' Energizer is hitting hard with a message of innovation and social responsibility at the upcoming 2012 NHL® All-Star Weekend in Ottawa, Ontario. Building upon a multi-year partnership with the National Hockey League (NHL®), Energizer is bringing a variety of new products and technology platforms to preview their future in Power and Lighting.
As a proud partner of 2012 NHL® All-Star Weekend, Energizer will bring their trademark 'now that's positivenergy!™' to a series of events and initiatives to showcase their innovation across three days of programming.
"Energizer has demonstrated both their brand personality and commitment to innovation through our on-going partnership" said Kyle McMann, Vice President, Integrated Marketing NHL Enterprises. "With the exciting activations they have planned for Ottawa, it will undoubtedly enhance the overall consumer experience at NHL All-Star Weekend."
To showcase their range of portable and household LED lighting products, while raising funds and awareness for charity, Energizer will be hosting the first-ever Energizer® Night Skate™ on Ottawa's famed Rideau Canal on Friday, Jan. 27 at 7:00 p.m. EST. 100% of funds raised by participants in the Energizer Night Skate at NHL All-Star Weekend will support the Sens Foundation and their work in building outdoor ice rinks in the region. This high-impact spectacle, which is expecting approximately 2,500 participants, is a spin-off of Energizer's popular series of Night Race events. For more details, go to www.energizernightskate.ca.
"Energizer is excited about showcasing our broad portfolio of portable power and lighting products to consumers in this incredible NHL All-Star Weekend event", states Kent Hatton, Brand Group Director at Energizer Canada Inc. "It's a perfect venue to have them learn about and experience these innovative new products."
Another high-point of the 'now that's positivenergy!™' creative platform coming to life in Ottawa is Energizer's sponsorship of the Sens Foundation Rink of Dreams project. Together with the City of Ottawa and the Sens Foundation, they will celebrate the recent opening of the Rink of Dreams with 'Energizer Hour' at NHL All-Star Weekend.
Fans will have the opportunity to experience Energizer's innovative product lineup at the Energizer exhibit within the Scotiabank NHL Fan Fair™ running January 26 - 28 at the Ottawa Convention Center. Energizer will display and demonstrate household & specialty batteries, portable power products (inductive, USB charging and external power packs) and household lighting (LED bulbs, nightlights, décor and task lighting and a new line of flameless wax candles). Also making its debut is the Energizer iSurge Travel Charging Station, an all-in-one plug-in charging unit, that coverts a standard wall-socket into a home for charging five devices at once (using a combination of USB port, AC outlet and 30-pin dock).
