VANCOUVER, Dec. 22, 2016 /CNW/ - On December 8, 2016 a Hearing Panel of the Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada (IIROC) accepted a Settlement Agreement, with sanctions, between IIROC staff and Denis Denischuk.
Mr. Denischuk admitted that he failed to fully and properly supervise the activities of a Registered Representative, Alberto "Bob" Tassone. The conduct occurred while Mr. Denischuk was at the Delta offices of Global Securities from November 2003 to September 2004 and Raymond James from September 2004 to February 2013.
Specifically, Mr. Denischuk admitted to the following violation:
(a) |
Between November 2003 and February 2013, Mr. Denischuk failed to fully and properly supervise the activities of a Registered Representative, Alberto "Bob" Tassone, contrary to Dealer Member Rule 38.4. |
Pursuant to the Settlement Agreement, Mr. Denischuk agreed to the following penalties:
(a) |
A fine in the amount of $14,000; and |
(b) |
Suspension of any and all Supervision registration capacities with IIROC for 30 days. |
Mr. Denischuk also agreed to pay costs in the amount of $1,000.

IIROC formally initiated the investigation into Mr. Denischuk's conduct in March 2015. The conduct occurred while he was a Registered Representative and Supervisor at the Delta branch office of Global Securities from November 2003 to September 2004 and at the Delta branch office of Raymond James from September 2004 to February 2013, both IIROC-regulated firms. Mr. Denischuk is still a Registered Representative at the Delta branch of Raymond James Ltd, as Branch Manager.
