MONTREAL, Feb. 22, 2022 /CNW/ - A Hearing Panel of the Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada (IIROC) will consider whether to accept a Settlement Agreement entered into between IIROC staff and Charles-Philippe Matte.

The hearing is not open to the public, but will become open in the event that the panel accepts the agreement. If the agreement is accepted, the Panel's decision and the Settlement Agreement will be made available at www.iiroc.ca.
Hearing date: The settlement hearing will be held via videoconference on March 23, 2022, at 9:30 a.m.
IIROC formally initiated the investigation into Mr. Matte's conduct in November 2020. The conduct occurred while he was a Registered Representative with the Toronto branch of Desjardins Securities Inc., an IIROC-regulated firm. Mr. Matte is no longer a registrant with an IIROC-regulated firm.
