TORONTO, Oct. 11, 2016 /CNW/ - Enirgi Group Corporation ("Enirgi Group" or the "Company"), together with its wholly owned subsidiary ADY Resources Limited, today announced that as part of its long-term commitment to empower the local community and create sustainable enterprise in Argentina, Enirgi Group has pledged support to The National Institute for Technical Education ("INET") and the Provincial Ministry of Education to improve conditions at the Escuela de Educación Técnica N° 3173 located in San Antonio de los Cobres, Salta, Argentina. The joint initiative aims to enhance the lives of the students by providing them with a new, modern school building, enhanced technical curriculum, and job training opportunities. As part of this commitment, Enirgi Group plans to:
"Over the past 7+ years that Enirgi Group has been operating in Argentina, our team has been driving initiatives that support local communities and this specific initiative will focus on providing students with the technical skills and work experience that will be required not only to enter the workforce, but to become future leaders of emerging industries in Argentina," said Mr. Wayne Richardson, President and CEO of Enirgi Group.
Enirgi Group, having previously announced its plans to construct an initial, scalable 50,000 tonne per annum lithium carbonate equivalent commercial plant at its wholly-owned Salar del Rincón (the "Rincón Project"), recently met with Vice President Gabriela Michetti of Argentina and her team of Mining, Energy, and Agriculture Secretaries, including Foreign Affairs and Investment and Trade officials in Toronto. Discussions included Enirgi Group's comprehensive strategy for development of the lithium industry in Argentina, its proprietary lithium extraction technology and Enirgi Group's far-reaching CSR program, which is a key element of any successful business strategy.
"We focus on building trust-based relationships with the federal and provincial government, which have been extremely supportive of our Rincón Project and our long-term strategy of working together to place Argentina at the centre of the global lithium supply chain. The new federal government continues to exhibit a strong desire to stimulate the mining industry and support real players in the industry that have a sustainable approach to lithium production backed by proven technologies and credible CSR programs that support local communities and contribute to positioning Argentina at the forefront of future lithium development and production," said Mr. Richardson.
Enirgi Group will work closely with INET and the Provincial Ministry of Education on this future initiative and expects that the new school will become a leading institution that will foster, support, and promote the career development of students in technical fields.
