ENPAR COMPLETES CONSTRUCTION AND SHIPS WATER TREATMENT SYSTEM
TO SOUTH KOREA
GUELPH, ON, Sept. 17 /CNW/ - Dr. Gene Shelp, President and CEO of ENPAR Technologies Inc. (TSX:ENP) ("ENPAR" or "the Company"), is very pleased to announce that the pilot waste water treatment unit (see press release dated May 31, 2010) has been shipped to JA Construction Co., Ltd. ("JACON") of the Republic of Korea. To date the Company has received two payments totalling 80% of the total purchase price. The remaining 20% of the total purchase price and 100% of the services price will be received upon completion of the training program.
JACON will conduct technical assessments of the Company's environmentally-friendly technology at various domestic locations. ENPAR and JACON anticipate orders for full-scale systems following successful completion of the pilot-test program.
Established in 1995, JACON is a leading design and build engineering firm specializing in residential, commercial, industrial and municipal engineering projects with annual revenues of US $85,000,000. The enterprise has completed more than 120 environmental sector projects to date.
Dr. Shelp commented, "The relationship between ENPAR and JACON is central to our strategic marketing plan to penetrate significant emerging water treatment markets estimated at US $2-3 billion annually in South Korea. We believe that the combination of ENPAR and JACON products will lead to the development of novel, integrated systems designed to provide comprehensive, sustainable solutions specifically suited to the domestic water treatment market. The anticipated joint venture agreement will provide impetus to capitalize on near-term opportunities to deliver robust technologies that can both complement and replace the ageing and, in some cases, inadequate existing water treatment infrastructure."
"ENPAR believes that the anticipated success of this venture carries the potential to accelerate our entry into emerging water treatment markets throughout Asia," stated Dr. Shelp.
"ENPAR achieved a significant milestone during the past year having completed the first commercial sale of a full-scale ammonia treatment system to Lake Shore Gold Corp., added Dr. Shelp. "We believe that this sale, coupled with our numerous business activities in Canada, China, Korea, Singapore and South Africa, represents a turning point in the commercial advancement of the ENPAR suite of products. Predicated on our experience with Lake Shore Gold Corp., the Company is engaged in discussions with other mining companies which have expressed interest in our ammonia treatment system."
The ENPAR business development group continues to leverage this success to introduce the Company's versatile water treatment products to the mining, municipal, food processing, energy and industrial sectors worldwide.
