ENPAR Technologies Inc. - Update - Construction of ammonia treatment system
nears completion
At the current rate of construction, management anticipates that the system should be ready for shipping by the first week of December. Installation and commissioning could potentially be completed before year-end.
The AmmEL System is an electrochemical treatment process that has proven extremely effective at converting ammonia to environmentally friendly nitrogen gas at temperatures that are just above freezing, thereby enabling the year round treatment and discharge of water that meets environmental guidelines. Unlike conventional biological nitrification systems, the AmmEL System does not produce nitrate as a by-product.
Applications of the AmmEL System were recently reviewed in the fall issue of "INFLUENTS", the official publication of the Water Environment Association of Ontario. This article has resulted in numerous inquiries which management believes will result in future business opportunities.
