Enterprise Fleet Management Supervisor Earns ASE World Class Technician Award
"Only a handful of technicians master the skills necessary to earn the award"
ST. LOUIS, March 2, 2017 /CNW/ -- Of nearly 900,000 automotive technicians working in the United States, only 16 qualified for the 2017 World Class Technician Award from the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) and the Auto Care Association.
Moreover, since the award program was established more than 30 years ago, fewer than 2,000 individuals have been honored worldwide. As a result, Enterprise Fleet Management – an affiliate of Enterprise Holdings Inc., the largest car rental company in the world – is proud to announce that Customer Support Supervisor Kelley Hatlee has earned the prestigious World Class Technician Award. Hatlee's name, along with the names of all such honorees, is inscribed in an honor book in the Automotive Hall of Fame in Dearborn, Michigan.
Individuals must test and obtain ASE certification in 22 specialty areas in order to achieve recognition as a World Class Technician. Hatlee received the prestigious honor after earning the titles of ASE Master Automobile Technician, ASE Master Medium/Heavy Duty Truck Technician and ASE Master Collision Repair Technician, as well as two additional advanced level diagnostic certifications for gasoline and diesel engines. He holds 32 ASE certifications total.
"Only a handful of technicians master the skills necessary to earn the ASE World Class Technician Award," said Tom Gieseking, Vice President of Fleet Operations for Enterprise Fleet Management. "This rare honor speaks to the dedication and professionalism Kelley brings to Enterprise Fleet Management and to our customers on a daily basis."
Hatlee has more than 20 years of experience in the automotive industry, 11 of which have been with Enterprise Fleet Management. In his role as Customer Support Supervisor for Enterprise Fleet Management's National Service Department, Hatlee leads a team of subject matter experts who are responsible for technical assistance, recall management, vendor relations, fleet support, vehicle maintenance and training.
Enterprise's National Service Department is one of the nation's largest and employs more than 100 ASE-certified service technicians. In fact, Enterprise was the first fleet management company to win the ASE "Blue Seal of Excellence" award and has won for 20 consecutive years, an industry record. In 2016, Enterprise Fleet Management also was named to InformationWeek magazine's "Elite 100" for setting the bar on innovative and creative information technology (IT) programs that improve business operations.
Owned by the Taylor family of St. Louis, Enterprise Fleet Management operates a network of more than 50 fully-staffed offices, which manages a fleet of more than 430,000 vehicles in the U.S. and Canada. The business provides full-service fleet management for companies, government agencies and organizations operating medium-sized fleets of 20 or more vehicles, as well as those seeking an alternative to employee reimbursement programs.
