TORONTO, March 6, 2019 /CNW/ - Entuitive, an international engineering consulting firm, has announced the acquisition of Brown & Co. Engineering Ltd., a structural engineering consulting firm specializing in bridge engineering services, construction engineering, and special projects. The acquisition is an important step in building the firm's integrated portfolio of services that drive performance engineering solutions.
Brown & Co. brings a uniquely skilled team to Entuitive that will strengthen existing core services in the areas of bridge engineering, project management, and construction engineering. This announcement follows the recent growth of Entuitive's Transportation and Infrastructure groups, with the addition of the Union Station Enhancement Project and Port Lands Bridges Projects in Toronto, Ontario.
"This is an extraordinary opportunity for Entuitive," said Brock Schroeder, Managing Director of Entuitive. "With Brown & Company, our combined capabilities, client relationships, and portfolio will allow us to offer services on a broader range of large, complex, transit-integrated projects. We will be able to realize opportunities together that we could not have realized separately."
Brown & Co. principals Stephen Brown, Jason Jelinek, Megan Rhind, and Andrew Au-Yeung will assume leadership roles at Entuitive in their respective fields of expertise. Brown & Co.'s employees will become members of the Transportation, Special Projects, and Restoration teams based in Entuitive's Toronto office.
"We are very excited about the opportunities that this integration will bring," said Stephen Brown. "With our combined resources and expertise, we will be very well-positioned for the exciting transportation infrastructure programs ahead throughout Canada. Culturally the two firms align well, with strong client focus and a supportive work environment. This is clearly the right move for us, and we are all excited about our future in the Entuitive family."
Entuitive's Transportation and Bridges team is led by Michael Meschino, Mike Hillcoat, and Jonathan Werner. The team has extensive experience with multi-billion-dollar transportation projects in a full range of procurement methods (DBB, DB, P3, CM, GMP, fast-track, and phase tendered).
