EPCOR experts discuss the state of water and its protection during Canada Water Week
EDMONTON, March 18, 2013 /CNW/ - EPCOR Utilities Inc. will be sharing a series of articles, video shorts, and ideas starting today to promote public awareness about water issues during Canada Water Week (March 18-24) and on World Water Day (March 22).
"As water experts, we want to engage Canadians by getting them to think about water as a critical finite resource central to our lifestyle, our health and our planet," says Bob Sandford, EPCOR Chair in support of the United Nations' Water for Life Decade initiative in Canada. "We all have to stop taking water for granted and start acting and thinking today about solutions for the future," says Sandford.
These materials launched to mark Canada Water Week are working to raise awareness of the importance of water conservation and protecting the quality of our water.
