EPM Mining Ventures Inc. announces director elections and first quarter 2013 financial results
TORONTO, May 14, 2013 /CNW/ - EPM Mining Ventures Inc. ("EPM" or the "Company") (TSXV: EPK - OTCQX: EPKMF) is pleased to announce the director election results of its 2013 Annual and Special Meeting of Shareholders held in Toronto on May 9 (the "Meeting"). At the Meeting, all nominees listed in the Company's Proxy Statement, dated April 5, 2013, as candidate directors of the Company were reelected. These are: Arthur Ditto, Chairman; Daniel Basse, De Lyle Bloomquist, Theodore Botts, Lance D'Ambrosio, Jeff Gentry, Ramakrishnan Mukundan, and Thomas Pladsen.
The Company is also pleased to report its first quarter 2013 ("First Quarter") results. The Company's unaudited condensed consolidated interim financial statements ("Q1 Financials") and Management Discussion and Analysis are available on SEDAR (www.sedar.com) as well as on the Company's website (www.epmmining.com). Highlights from the Q1 Financials include:
- The Company reported a net loss for the First Quarter of $0.69 million ($0.01 per share) compared with a net loss of $0.64 million ($0.01 per share) for the first quarter of 2012.
- The Company incurred a total of $3.0 million during the First Quarter on project-related activities for its Sevier Playa Project, compared to $4.1 million for the first quarter of 2012. First Quarter activities included an expansion of its 2012 drilling program, prefeasibility study engineering, bench scale test work, and environmental permitting.
- The Company ended the First Quarter with cash and cash equivalents of $7.8 million compared with $10.6 million as at December 31, 2012.
