EDMONTON, March 20, 2019 /CNW/ - Correctional Service Canada
On March 20, 2019, staff members at Stan Daniels Healing Centre, a facility managed by Native Counselling Services of Alberta (NCSA), discovered that Jesse Leppanen was not accounted for.
The Correctional Service of Canada (CSC) immediately contacted the Edmonton Police Service and a warrant for his arrest has been issued.
Jesse Leppanen is 27 years old, measures 168 cm (5' 6") in height and weighs 66 kgs (146 lbs). He has a fair complexion, blue eyes and blond hair. He has tattoos on both arms, both legs, chest, neck, shoulders and ears.
He is serving a sentence of 8 years, 8 months and 14 days for Manslaughter and Failure to Comply With Condition of Undertaking or Recognizance.
Anyone who has information on the whereabouts of Jesse Leppanen is asked to contact the police.
CSC and NCSA will investigate the circumstances of this incident and are working with the police to locate the offender as quickly as possible.
CSC and NCSA have given the police all of the information available to help arrest the inmate.
