Member of Parliament LaVar Payne announces funding for Medicine Hat's Cultural Hub
MEDICINE HAT, AB, March 14, 2014 /CNW/ - The Government of Canada is providing multi-year funding of $12,500 through the Museums Assistance Program to support the Esplanade Arts & Heritage Centre's Ice Age Mammals exhibit.
LaVar Payne, Member of Parliament (Medicine Hat), announced this investment today on behalf of Canadian Heritage and Official Languages Minister Shelly Glover. The funding is for two fiscal years: $6,250 in 2013-2014 and $6,250 in 2014-2015.
Circulated by the Canadian Museum of Nature in Ottawa, the exhibition explores the last ice age, extinction and human impact on climate change.

- Ice Age Mammals opened February 17 and continues until June 14, 2014.
- The Esplanade Arts & Heritage Centre opened its doors in celebration of Alberta's centennial in 2005. Since then, it has welcomed artists and audiences from around the region and around the globe.
