Readers weigh in on comfort, service and value
TAIPEI, Taiwan, July 13, 2016 /CNW/ -- Travel + Leisure readers voted EVA Air among the Top-10 International Airlines in the magazine's 21st annual best of travel survey. Based on personal travel experiences, readers were invited to rate airlines for cabin comfort, in-flight and customer service, and value. Survey results appear in the magazine's August 2016 issue and on its website. Travel + Leisure's rankings come on the heels of SKYTRAX recognizing EVA as a 5-Star Airline. Travelers can learn more about EVA and book flights at www.evaair.com.
It takes more than an acceptable seat, good fares and free food for an airline to stand out. Results of this survey show that travelers find the best airlines to be those that offer exceptional service to everyone on board. EVA has made quality service and safety priorities in the air and on the ground throughout its 25 years of operation.
The survey was available Nov. 3, 2015 - Feb. 29, 2016. Readers were invited to participate through the printed magazine, tablet editions, newsletters, social media and at www.travelandleisure.com. In order of ranking, Travel + Leisure's World's Top-10 Best International Airlines are Singapore Airlines, Emirates, Qatar Airways, Etihad Airways, Virgin Atlantic Airways, Cathay Pacific Airways, Air New Zealand, EVA, Korean Air and Porter Airlines.
EVA makes consideration, interaction and mindfulness key to frontline delivery on the ground and in the air. Leading up to its 5-Star Award, SKYTRAX ranked EVA as the carrier with the Best Airline Staff Service in Asia based on a 2012 traveler survey and among the "World's Top-10 Best Airlines" and the number one airline for "Best Airline Cabin Cleanliness" in 2015. AirlineRatings.com recognized it as a carrier of choice among the "World's Top-10 Airlines" for 2015 and 2016 and rated its Elite and Economy Classes in the world's top-10 "best for economy plus and economy class travel for 2015."
EVA's high safety standards also earn praise. It's been recognized among the world's 10 safest airlines by Aero International Magazine's eight times since 2004, including third-place rankings in 2015 and 2016, and rated as one of world's 10 safest airlines by website AirlineRatings.com for 2014, 2015 and 2016.
