This National Cancer Survivors Day, the Kick It Up for Kidney Cancer boot camp event celebrates survivors and supports people fighting kidney cancer
TORONTO, May 28, 2014 /CNW/ - This National Cancer Survivors Day (Sunday, June 1), fitness fanatics and boot camp junkies are coming together to give kidney cancer the boot at the 2nd annual Kick It Up for Kidney Cancer event. This year, Toronto's top fitness trainers will be joined by JUNO Award-winning singer / songwriter and soul sensation, Jully Black, as she squats, kicks and jumps for a great cause.
Kick It Up for Kidney Cancer boot camp, is a team-based, four-hour boot camp to help Kidney Cancer Canada raise awareness of Canadians affected by the disease. The funds raised will help more Canadians fight and survive kidney cancer.
To date, over $45,000 has been raised to support Kidney Cancer Canada! But for a disease that is steadily increasing in incidence, more support is needed. In 2013, it was estimated that 5,900 Canadians were diagnosed with kidney cancer and 1,750 died from it[i].

The boot camp is made up of a collection of high-energy sessions led by Michael DeCorte of Jock Yoga, Eva Redpath of Body Conditioning by Dancers (BCBD), and Brent Bishop of Think Fitness.
