Excellence Canada - Ontario Accessibility Award 2012 Recipients
TORONTO, March 8, 2013 /CNW/ - Excellence Canada is pleased to announce the recipients of the 2012 Excellence Canada - Ontario Accessibility Awards, based upon submissions received from organizations that have gone above and beyond the regulated requirements of the AODA (Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005). The Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, the Honourable David C. Onley, is the honorary patron of the Excellence Canada - Ontario Accessibility Awards Program.
Now in its third year, this program recognizes and celebrates organizations that have demonstrated leadership and commitment to providing exemplary service and opportunities for people with disabilities in addition to satisfying the AODA regulations. The program highlights role models, while inspiring others to take positive action in promoting accessibility.
This year's recipients are Bluewater Health, City of Brampton, Cohen Highley LLP, Copernicus Lodge, the Royal Ontario Museum, the Town of Richmond Hill, and the Town of Aurora.
