MONTREAL, Jan. 20, 2014 /CNW Telbec/ - The Autorité des marchés financiers (the "AMF") today announced the names of the latest recipients of university scholarships, which are being awarded for the third time, under the excellence program of its Education and Good Governance Fund.
The purpose of this program is to increase knowledge in all areas associated with the AMF's mission and enhance AMF visibility. In addition to a scholarship, recipients will be offered a six-week paid internship at the AMF in their respective areas of expertise.
Doctoral scholarships ($10,000)
Wafa Ben Yedder, Doctorate in Administration with a major in accounting sciences, University of Québec at Montréal
Audrey Létourneau, Doctorate in Law, Laval University
Dominique Mannella, Doctorate in Law, Laval University
Octave Niamé, Doctorate in Administration, University of Québec at Montréal
Léopold Yodjeu, Doctorate in Administration with a major in finance, University of Sherbrooke
Master's scholarships ($5,000)
Jean-Phillippe Day Michaud, Master's in Actuarial and Financial Mathematics, University of Québec at Montréal
Franckel G. Badoussi, Master's in Applied Finance Sciences with a major in financial engineering, University of Québec at Montréal
Xavier Hamel-Lapointe, Master's of Science in Finance, University of Sherbrooke
Mélanie Rivest, Master's in Business Administration, University of Québec at Trois-Rivières
Lily Ruffet, Master's in Information Technology Sciences, University of Québec at Montréal
"Our program not only recognizes the excellence and commitment of these recipients, it also gives them an opportunity to increase their knowledge and acquire professional experience through an internship at the AMF," explained AMF President and Chief Executive Officer Louis Morisset.

An on-line brochure about the program is also available. To apply for the program, applicants must fill out the scholarship form and return it by e-mail no later than the March 30 or September 30 application deadline.
