TORONTO, May 29, 2013 /CNW/ - A special display featuring a bottle of Appleton Estate 50 Year Old Jamaica Rum - Jamaica Independence Reserve, will be presented at select Nova Scotia Liquor Corporation locations, with very limited quantities available for purchase. With only 800 of these bottles produced and an even smaller number available in Canada at a retail price of $5,000, this expression serves as a once-in-a-lifetime, exceptional experience for any rum connoisseur.

Appleton Estate 50 Year Old Jamaica Rum - Jamaica Independence Reserve comprises rums that have been aged for a minimum of 50 years in hand-selected, oak barrels. Carefully crafted over time and managed through the expertise of Appleton Estate Master Blender Joy Spence, this expression was set down with the intention of bottling the rare spirit to mark the 50^th anniversary of Jamaica's independence.

It will be on display and available in limited quantities for purchase at the below listed locations. Samples of the Appleton Estate V/X, Reserve and 12 Year Old Extra will be provided during the following dates/times (patrons must be of legal drinking age):

Portland Street NSLC from June 4^th - June 9^th
Samples available on Saturday, June 8^th from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. 

Bayer's Lake NSLC from June 10^th - June 16^th
Samples available on Saturday, June 15^th from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. 

Joseph Howe NSLC from June 17^th - June 23^rd
Samples available on Saturday, June 22^nd from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. 

Tantallon NSLC from June 24^th - July 2^nd
Samples available on Saturday, June 29^th  from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
