Ethernet, OTN and SONET/SDH Test Modules, the Power Blazer Series
FTB-8120NGE and FTB-8130NGE module operations are now up to four times faster, thanks to EXFO's leading platform technology and advanced processing
QUEBEC CITY, Aug. 5 /CNW Telbec/ - EXFO Inc. (NASDAQ: EXFO, TSX: EXF) announced today a significant processing speed increase for its FTB-8120NGE and FTB-8130NGE Power Blazer Multiservice Test Modules, which offer a full suite of SONET/SDH, packet-OTN and Ethernet test capabilities in a compact, field-grade form factor. Thanks to EXFO's latest platform technology advancements, these modules now operate up to four times faster. Coupled with usability enhancements, this drastically improves the efficiencies of field technicians in their day-to-day operations.
EXFO's Power Blazer modules provide customers with the market's highest level of integration to meet all their multiservice transport network testing needs. The FTB-8130NGE Power Blazer, supporting testing rates up to 11.1 Gbit/s for SONET/SDH, Ethernet (including 10 Gigabit Ethernet LAN and WAN) and OTN networks, is ideally suited for the deployment and maintenance of packet optical networks. The FTB-8120NGE Power Blazer, handling SONET/SDH/OTN testing rates up to 2.7 Gbit/s and Ethernet testing rates up to 1 Gbit/s, is purpose-built for the growing deployments of Ethernet-over-TDM and Ethernet-over-SONET/SDH/OTN services worldwide.
"EXFO was the very first company to combine Ethernet, OTN and SONET/SDH test capabilities in a single instrument and again demonstrates its industry leadership by making it faster than ever. Continuously improving our test and service assurance solutions to better suit the evolving needs of our customers is clearly a priority for us, and increasing the processing speed for our Power Blazer multiservice test modules reflects this commitment," said Étienne Gagnon, EXFO's Vice-President-Wireline Division and Corporate Marketing. "Network service providers are increasingly looking for ways to reduce operating costs, namely by choosing test solutions that enable their technicians to speed up the test cycles and ultimately spend less time in the field. EXFO's industry-leading platform technology has recently gone an extra step, and as a result, our already popular Power Blazer test modules can run up to four times faster, which translates into a clear bottom-line benefit for our customers."
