EXFO Introduces Powerful Handheld Ethernet Analyzer for Cost-Effective
Service Turn-Up
Complement to a comprehensive test portfolio, the new ETS-1000 is a dedicated, handheld Ethernet analyzer, designed to enable fast, reliable and cost-efficient rollouts
The ETS-1000 is one of the most compact and feature-rich 10M to 1GigE test units, supporting two independent test ports. Technicians can transmit up to layer-4 traffic, with fully configurable virtual local area networks (VLAN), multiprotocol label switching (MPLS) and quality of service (QoS) parameters. The ETS-1000 supports all of today's necessary Ethernet/IP field testing capabilities including RFC 2544, bit-error rate, packet jitter as well as multistream generation and analysis.
This entry-level analyzer underscores EXFO's commitment to providing solutions that meet the needs of customers across different technologies, from cost-optimized, dedicated analyzers for fast and simplified turn-up and installation, to more powerful, integrated Ethernet and next-generation SONET/SDH assessment tools.
Also being introduced is the ETS-1000L, a dedicated handheld Ethernet loopback device that supports simple user configuration for full wire-speed testing, from Layer 1 through 4. Both the ETS-1000 and ETS-1000L are fully interoperable with all EXFO Ethernet products.
"Proper assessment of carrier-grade Ethernet services is essential to ensure both quality and performance," said Étienne Gagnon, EXFO's Vice-President of Product Development and Marketing. "The addition of the ETS-1000 further enhances our leading Ethernet portfolio, which provides our customers a broad range of tools to address and maximize the efficiency of their installation and turn-up testing processes."
