EXFO Launches the Industry's Most Powerful MCM Gigabit Ethernet Test
Interface for High-Capacity Testing of VoIP/IMS Networks
The new MCM Gigabit Ethernet Interface Series offers unmatched performance, scalability and flexibility-ideal for testing high-performance VoIP and IMS network.
These high-performance and high-capacity networks need to be verified in the lab before deployment to ensure they meet capacity and performance expectations while ensuring acceptable level of quality of customer experience can be delivered. The new MCM Gigabit Ethernet Interface Series was designed to meet testing challenges of today's networks. A single module can emulate up to 256 000 unique IMS/VoIP subscribers and 64 000 voice/video streams while performing quality analysis on every stream in real time.
The MCM Gigabit Ethernet Interface Series can be housed in EXFO's InterWatch R14 and QualityAssurer QA-604 platforms, and is backward-compatible with existing software options. With the MCM Gigabit Ethernet Interface Series, a single 2U QA-604 platform can support 512 000 emulated IMS/VoIP subscribers and 128 000 voice/video streams while the 9U R14 platform can support 1.2 million emulated IMS/VoIP subscribers and 320 000 voice/video streams.
"With the release of the new MCM Gigabit Ethernet Interface Series, EXFO has once again raised the bar for high-performance and high-capacity testing in the lab, as it delivers four times more capacity per port than the closest competitor," said Étienne Gagnon, EXFO's Vice-President of Product Management and Marketing. "NEMs and NSPs can now stress their networks using real-world network traffic in a lab environment and be confident that their networks will deliver the level of customer experience expected-even when subjected to high network load."
