MONTREAL, March 3, 2015 /CNW Telbec/ - EXO U, a leader in the development of digital education platforms, and WSE, a digital education specialist, have partnered to enable France to become a world leader in this field.
The increasing use of technology is bringing major changes to teaching and a transition from traditional education to the digital classroom. WSE and EXO U will help teachers to manage digital learning and motivate students to help them reach their full potential. This partnership will transform schools by providing students with universal access to content and teachers with new technological tools.
The official signing ceremony will be held at the Paris–Île de France Regional Chamber of Commerce and Industry on March 3, 2015 with French Economy, Industry and Digital Affairs Minister Emmanuel Macron and Quebec Premier Dr. Philippe Couillard in attendance.
France has shown its intention to become a leader in the use of technology in schools. The purpose of this initiative is to equip all fifth-grade students (about 800,000) with a tablet and to teach them through digital means starting September 2016.
"We are excited to be working with WSE," said EXO U Chief Executive Officer Shan Ahdoot. "EXO U and WSE are working together to provide an innovative digital solution that meets new needs in education in France."
"This key partnership between WSE and EXO U offers teachers in France a never-before-seen concept for managing their mobile classrooms regardless of connectivity and the devices used," stated WSE director Arnaud Albou. "We are pleased to introduce EXO U to our partners and clients and to finally propose a simple and complete mobility solution."
The EXO U/WSE partnership provides a wealth of functionalities and services to better manage classroom experiences, stimulate student engagement, and teach responsible digital practices.
The EXO U–WSE partnership:
- Supports and encourages collaboration because teachers can easily share educational content and observe student learning and motivation. Distractions are also reduced, and efficiency is optimized.
- Is compatible with interoperable devices, so students can easily bring their own digital devices with the utmost security. (BYOD)
- Provides an option for students without Internet access to learn offline; even when they are outside of the classroom, students can still access their digital documents.
- Offers a consistent user experience and facilitates course management for teachers.
- Allows for management of open educational resources. (OER)
