EXPENSE ACCOUNT JUNKIE: Tim Hudak - Nickel & Dime Addict
TORONTO, Oct. 18 /CNW/ - Tim Hudak, like the rest of the Conservative gang, isn't shy about getting taxpayers to pay for anything he wants. The fact is, there isn't much Hudak hasn't tried to expense:
- Tim Hudak left taxpayers on the hook for a $12.25 fishing licence. (Welland Tribune - June 4, 2002)
- Billed Ontario families $575 for a television set from Future Shop. (Toronto Star - December 5, 2002)
- Tim spent taxpayer dollars for a trip to Brazil and brought his girlfriend. No record his girlfriend paid her own way. (St. Catharines Standard - December 6, 2002)
- While in Rio, Tim took his date out for a romantic dinner - at McDonald's - and asked Ontario taxpayers for the $3.20 it cost for them to split a six-pack of chicken McNuggets.
- Tim, having barely moved his things into the Opposition Leader's office, treats MPP Lisa MacLeod to a nice meal at Jack Astor's - then slides the August 4, 2009 bill for $87.40 over to taxpayers.
- On September 22, 2009, Tim grabs a morning coffee and submits $1.27 for taxpayers to absorb.
- Hudak takes his staff out for "Irish nachos" and wings at Don Cherry's in November 13, 2009, but demands Ontario families cover the $92.13 tab.
- Ten years since Rio, Tim still loves McNuggets. Expense claim from January 14, 2010 show Hudak got Ontario families to pay $4.39 for his indulgence.

Like his old friends Chris Stockwell and Cam Jackson, Tim Hudak shows all the signs of a classic Conservative expense account addiction.
