HAMILTON, N.J., Jan. 7, 2014 /CNW/ - InformEx, North America's leading business partnering event for buyers and sellers of high-value chemistry, has introduced a mobile app that attendees can use to make their visit to the 2014 conference and expo even more productive and powerful. InformEx 2014 will be held in Miami Beach, Florida, January 21-24.
The new InformEx convention mobile app offers a convenient portal for viewing and selecting education sessions, creating a personal conference agenda, highlighting exhibitors, and messaging or arranging meetings with other attendees. The app also keeps attendees up to date on events and news, with real-time streaming from social media sites.
More than 3,500 attendees from top pharmaceutical, fine chemical and specialty chemical companies will convene in Miami Beach later this month to take part in the InformEx 2014 conference and networking events. (Register here).
"InformEx is thrilled to offer its community of custom and specialty chemical executives a new way to make the most of their four days in Miami Beach," said Nancy Largay, InformEx Brand Director. "In addition to the premier networking opportunities we're known for, this 30th-year event will feature a robust lineup of education sessions and speakers. We encourage all attendees to download the app to ensure they don't miss a beat while they're at the convention."
Education sessions will be conveniently located on the show floor to accommodate attendees' busy meeting schedules. Noise-cancelling headphones allow participants to focus and actively contribute to these "silent" sessions, even amidst an energy-filled environment.
Kicking off the conference sessions on Jan. 22 will be a special presentation by Dr. Donna Nelson, University of Oklahoma organic chemistry professor who was a scientific consultant for the Emmy-winning series "Breaking Bad" since its second season. Dr. Nelson will share stories of how she turned her chemistry know-how into plot twists for what has been one of the most successful shows of the last decade.
Other featured sessions will touch on topics including green chemistry, supplying the demand for personalized medicine, intellectual property strategies and overcoming trade barriers. (View the full conference lineup at InformEx.com).
Attendees also have access to all daily networking receptions and complimentary admission to the World Class Exhibitor & Technology Showcase.
