TORONTO, Oct. 15 /CNW/ - Canadians are about to enjoy the fourth annual Caribbean Week -- a celebration of the sights, sounds, colours, culture and unique vacation experiences of the Caribbean. From October 21^st to 29^th, the Caribbean Tourism Organization (CTO) will give Canadians the opportunity to experience some of this diverse region's best chefs, cocktails, entertainment and music in Toronto and Montreal.

Toronto media are invited to a series of events throughout the week, including an exclusive media day on Friday, October 29^th at George Brown College. The day will begin with a Media Marketplace followed by a Caribbean Media Awards Luncheon. The week will conclude with Rum and Rhythm, an event that is also open to the public. This is a unique opportunity to experience the best of the Caribbean without having to step aboard a plane!

	Location:  Metro-Central YMCA Auditorium, 20 Grosvenor Street
	Hosted by the Toro Action Programs (TAP), this event is designed to educate youth about Caribbean culture in a fun and entertaining way.
	National Webinars for Travel Agents
	Date: October 25 - 27, 2010
	A series of webinars sponsored and hosted by Baxter Travel Media for Canadian travel agents on experiential travel, group and incentive travel, and destination weddings.
	Media Marketplace
	Date: October 29, 2010
	Time: 10:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
	Media Briefing: 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.
	Location: George Brown College
	An opportunity to provide media with valuable Caribbean product and destination information while enjoying exotic Caribbean food and drinks. This years Media Marketplace will have a record number of destinations represented.
	Caribbean Media Awards Luncheon
	Date: October 29, 2010
	Time: 1:00 p.m. - 2:30 p.m.
	Location: George Brown College
	An awards ceremony that recognizes local consumer and trade feature articles, broadcast coverage and photography that best capture the essence of the Caribbean.
	Rum and Rhythm - A Celebration of Caribbean Culture
	Date: October 29, 2010
	Time: 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.
	Location: Andrew Richard Designs, 571 Adelaide Street East
	A celebration of Caribbean culture featuring specialties by award-winning chef and food stylist Selwyn Richards, and Caribbean rums and cocktails served by top mixologist Trevor Burnett. Rum and Rhythm will also feature the sounds of the Caribbean with musical performances by Juno award-winning jazz musician Eddie Bullen and the island sounds of the steel drum.
