Experienced Litigator Joins BLG

Matthew Epp Brings Securities Regulatory Expertise to BLG

CALGARY, Nov. 1, 2016 /CNW/ - Borden Ladner Gervais LLP (BLG) is pleased to announce that Matthew Epp is joining the Commercial Litigation Group in its Calgary office.

Mr. Epp's practice focuses on complex securities litigation, class actions, and commercial and shareholder disputes. He regularly represents investment and real estate industries professionals in civil proceedings, and acts as lead counsel for large corporations in front of industry tribunals, including the Law Society of Alberta, the Mutual Fund Dealers Association, Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada, the Alberta Securities Commission, and the Real Estate Council of Alberta.

Mr. Epp, a former Alberta Securities Commission enforcement counsel as well as civil litigator, is a member of the Board of Directors of the National Exempt Market Association. He has been recognized as a Litigation Star (Securities) in Alberta by Benchmark Canada since 2015. He holds an LLB from the University of Alberta, and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Sciences from the University of Calgary.
