Expert Alert - Poverty and Health: A Poor Diet
Canadian Institutes of Health Research experts discuss the impact of poverty on health (September 29) </pre> <p/> <p><location>OTTAWA</location>, <chron>Sept. 29</chron> /CNW Telbec/ - At least 80% of humanity lives on less than <money>$10</money> a day and 25,000 children die each day due to poverty, according to the World Bank and UNICEF. In <location>Canada</location>, more than 12 per cent of the working age population lives in poverty, and <money>$63,600</money> is the median income for families with two or more people, states a new Conference Board of <location>Canada</location> report.
