Exploration Orbite files a new provisional patent application in the United
States
Application will protect improvements to its patented alumina preparation process

MONTREAL, Dec. 7 /CNW Telbec/ - Exploration Orbite is pleased to announce that it filed for a new provisional patent in the United States on November 19. This application, US 61/415473, is aimed at protecting improvements to Orbite's alumina preparation process, for which a patent was granted in Canada on October 12 (CA 2684696) and the United States on November 23 (US 7837961).
This new application protects steps added to Orbite's patented process in order to improve productivity through higher yield and lower production costs. "Innovation is a key factor in the company's development. This patent application will protect improvements we have made to our alumina preparation process, and we couldn't be happier," said Orbite president Richard Boudreault.
Orbite works continually with the patent agents at the Bereskin & Parr firm in Montreal to ensure all its intellectual property (IP) items are properly protected.
The firm, which has an indepth understanding and awareness of the importance of IP, expects to file another patent application for additional improvements sometime in early 2011.
