Extended deadline! Award of Excellence for Comptrollership in the Public Sector

The deadline for all nominations has been extended to February 15, 2013

OTTAWA, Feb. 5, 2013 /CNW/ - The deadline to submit nominations for the Award of Excellence for Comptrollership in the Public Sector has been extended to February 15, 2013. If you know an individual or a team that has made a significant contribution to financial management or comptrollership within the Government of Canada, then take this opportunity to recognize their hard work and nominate them for an award.

"In order to ensure that as many members of the financial community as possible have had an opportunity to submit nominations, we have decided to extend the deadline for applications," said Rick Monk, president and CEO of msight global inc., and member of the 2013 selection committee. "Also, to assist nominators with the application process we have created online applications forms that are short and easy to fill out."

In its fifth year, the Award of Excellence for Comptrollership in the Public Sector includes awards for Innovation and Financial Leadership. Consideration forms are also being accepted for the CMA-CIPFA Lifetime Achievement Award, which is awarded at the discretion of the selection committee.

All nominations may be submitted via email to [email protected] until the last day of the nomination period. Please note that each nominator may only submit one nomination per award category.

The award recipients will be revealed at the awards dinner sponsored by the Association of Canadian Financial Officers and PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP to be held on May 8, 2013, at the Fairmont Château Laurier in Ottawa. A limited number of tickets will be available for the reception, dinner and awards ceremony beginning in March.
