TORONTO, March 7, 2018 /CNW/ -- Eyereturn Marketing, one of only a few technology companies with a female President and Co-CEO, will be backing their commitment to gender parity with three initiatives designed to honour and celebrate women's achievements.
To show their dedication to improving the lives of women and girls, Eyereturn has decided to match all employee donations to YWCA Toronto between now and International Women's Day with a fundraising page (https://www.ywcatoronto.org/supportus/waystogive/fundraise/eyereturn).
People are encouraged to honour a special woman by making a donation in her honour, including a tribute email thanking her for being a positive influence in their life.
YWCA is leading the charge by supporting women when they need it most. "We support women at very fragile times in their lives," says YWCA Toronto CEO Heather McGregor. "The support we receive from the community is critical to our work with women and girls."
Eyereturn has also set up a Tribute Wall, where employees can add photos and descriptions of the women who have inspired them. The tribute cards will be posted on social media and employees are encouraged to take some time to read and reflect on the impact women have made on society. All contributors are entered into a draw to win extra vacation time.
Finally, Eyereturn is having a bake sale where employees can buy delicious cookies, (made by Robyn Cookies, http://www.robynscookies.com/) to enjoy or give to a woman in their life. All proceeds will go to YWCA Toronto.
"It's time to recognize how the efforts of women have shaped the world for the better," says Renee Hill, President and Co-CEO, "We hope that these initiatives will kickstart a positive discussion about women, promoting empowerment and support in our communities."
This year, International Women's day is calling for #PressforProgress motivating and uniting friends, colleagues and whole communities to think about, act on and become gender inclusive.

ABOUT INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY
International Women's Day (March 8) is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating gender parity. International Women's Day (IWD) has occurred for well over a century, with the first March 8 IWD gathering supported by over a million people in Austria, Denmark, Germany and Switzerland. Prior to this the Socialist Party of America, United Kingdom's Suffragists and Suffragettes, and further groups campaigned for women equality. Today, IWD belongs to all groups collectively everywhere. IWD is not country, group or organisation specific. Make IWD your day! - everyday!
