Fact Check - Fresh gaffe as Hudak showcases corporate welfare case

TORONTO, May 12, 2014 /CNW/ - Tim Hudak is travelling to Stanpac Inc today to talk about how corporations can expand and create jobs. It's a promising tour stop, as Stanpac Inc has increased their workforce several times in the last few years.

The problem for Tim Hudak is that Stanpac Inc has increased their workforce using precisely the kind of "corporate welfare" he is campaigning against.

Is Hudak even trying to run a credible campaign anymore? On the 8th day of the campaign, this now makes 4 blow-out campaign gaffes.

Facts

On July 1st 2008 Stanpac Inc. put out a joint press release with Premier McGuinty that stated: "McGuinty Government Helps Innovative Packaging Manufacturer Double Workforce"

The owner stated in the release: "We're proud the Ontario Government has supported our expansion."
