Faculty at International Language Schools of Canada (ILSC) Vote 96% in Favour of Strike Action
VANCOUVER, April 8, 2014 /CNW/ - "The members have spoken and the message is very clear," said Karen McCullough, President of the Education and Training Employees Association (ETEA) Local 1. "Our members are determined to get a fair contract in this round of negotiations with ILSC administrators. We've been at the bargaining table for several weeks and still face substantial concession demands from management. ILSC can well afford a fair contract with faculty and this strike vote result is a wake-up call to our employer that we are serious about getting a fair settlement in 2014," McCullough added.
ETEA Local 1 represents over 100 faculty who work and teach at ILSC's five campuses located in the Lower Mainland.
