Faculty, Students, Administrators and Trustees Head to Legislature for Debate on Adult Basic Education
VANCOUVER, May 4, 2015 /CNW/ - "MLAs from both sides of the Legislature will be debating the changes made to Adult Basic Education (ABE) funding, changes that will make it a lot more expensive for students," said Cindy Oliver , President of the Federation of Post-Secondary Educators (FPSE). "We have gathered students, faculty, administrators and school trustees to hear MLAs debate the issue at 11:00 am on Monday May 4th. It's a chance to see just where individual MLAs stand on this important issue," Oliver added.
Joining the group in the Legislature's Visitors' Gallery will be a number of ABE students as well as Patti Bacchus, Vancouver School Board Trustee.
