/CNW/ - Fairchild Media Group is once again leading the way in the Chinese community by broadcasting Haitian donation Public Service Announcements (PSAs) to Chinese Canadians via its media vehicles including Fairchild Television, Talentvision and Fairchild Radio since

. Free prime time spots on Fairchild Television, Talentvision and Fairchild Radio have been donated on a daily basis. The latest footage is included in the PSAs calling for viewer support. Other Chinese media which have followed suit to contribute air time or print space include but are not limited to A1 Chinese Radio, Sing Tao Daily,
Ming Pao
and World Journal. Together, major Chinese media pledged over CAD$200,000 which when matched with CIDA government donations total over CAD$400,000. With wide participation throughout the community, Chinese Canadians are demonstrating their generosity and benevolence. Fairchild Television will continue to take the lead in updating the Chinese community on the recovery efforts in
Haiti
as well as airing free announcements for continued support during this time of great need.
